Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Health Care Aide to join our team at Golden Links Lodge Personal Care Home in Winnipeg. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional and physical support to residents, including those with dementia and other cognitive impairments
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving, as well as providing nourishments and snacks
  • Monitor and report changes in resident health status to the unit nurse
  • Participate in infection control and preventative maintenance programs
  • Transport residents to meals, recreation activities, and other events
  • Document care delivery on resident records
Requirements
  • Recognized Health Care Aide Certificate or completed two years of accepted registered nursing education program
  • One year previous experience as a Health Care Aide preferred
  • Experience in personal care home setting preferred
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend fluent English
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs of residents
  • Good organizational skills
  • Able to safely operate required equipment
