We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team at Golden Links Lodge Personal Care Home in Winnipeg.
About the Role:As a Health Care Aide, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their overall well-being. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our residents.
Responsibilities:- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide emotional and physical support to residents, including those with dementia and other cognitive impairments
- Assist with meal preparation and serving, ensuring residents' nutritional needs are met
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health status to the unit nurse
- Participate in infection control and preventative maintenance programs
- Transport residents to meals, recreation activities, and other events
- Recognized Health Care Aide Certificate or completed two years of accepted registered nursing education program
- One year of previous experience as a Health Care Aide preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend fluent English
