About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Home Building Contractor to join our team at Western 1 Drywall Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management
    • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and within-budget completion of construction projects.
    • Coordinate and manage the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality and conformity with plans and specifications.
  • Trade Work and Supervision
    • Perform various trade work during home construction or renovation activities, including carpentry, drywall installation, and finishing work.
    • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers to ensure effective project execution.
  • Business Development and Customer Service
    • Develop and implement business plans to drive growth and revenue.
    • Work with customers, architects, and engineers to ensure that plans and specifications meet their needs and expectations.
    • Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure that construction permits are obtained and that all regulatory requirements are met.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks and liabilities associated with construction projects.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 40 hours per week.
