Job Summary

The Human Resources Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining accurate and complete electronic records within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and 'Apply to Education' to provide services to employees. This position is responsible for administrative services, departmental support, employee communications, and issuing employment packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter, verify, and update data into the Human Resources Information System, PeopleSoft, and other data resources
  • Answer telephone inquiries, respond to emails, and provide information
  • Prepare employee communications
  • Administrative assistance (i.e. photocopying, meetings)
  • Audit reports
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of specialized community college education and 1 to 2 years of experience in the Human Resources field. The candidate should possess strong administrative skills, including the ability to operate a computer, use Excel to create lists, analyze data, enter data, and operate HRIS and PeopleSoft.

The candidate should also have well-developed interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate straight-forward information.
