Job Summary:

Irving Shipbuilding is seeking a highly skilled Associate Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for sourcing and managing suppliers, developing and implementing procurement strategies, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform research and analysis to develop optimal sourcing strategies across assigned portfolios.
  • Execute stakeholder management activities to ensure accurate, timely, and clear advice is provided to the business.
  • Perform full life cycle supplier management activities, including pre-qualification, supplier engagement, negotiations, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal, managing these sourcing events to meet cost management and scheduling expectations.
  • Perform full suite contract management activities, including contract preparation, executive briefings, negotiations, and post-award contract administration.
  • Fulfill Purchase Order management requirements, including invoice review and attestation.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Introductory knowledge of end-to-end supply chain and procurement activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks, analyze and synthesize large amounts of information, and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office suite.
  • Organization, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Time management and prioritization skills.
