Decentralized Systems Engineer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Blockchain and Economic Systems Developer with a passion for game theory, data analysis, and cryptocurrency. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Python for modeling economic actors via Monte Carlo simulations, AI model creation, data visualization, and report generation. They should also be comfortable with automation and network tasks in Python and have experience with web3 integration for analyzing events and historical data. Additionally, proficiency in Golang for backend service production, interacting with smart contracts, and subscribing to events is required. Knowledge of TypeScript and React for creating internal dashboards and interfaces, as well as Solidity for developing applications spanning multiple smart contracts, is essential. Expertise in Rust, particularly with Substrate, for designing, implementing, and optimizing blockchain protocols and systems is highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Design, Develop, and Deploy Smart Contracts: Create and implement smart contracts on various blockchain platforms, ensuring security, efficiency, and scalability.
- Blockchain Integration: Integrate blockchain solutions with existing applications and systems, enhancing their functionality and performance.
- On-Chain Data Analysis: Implement on-chain data analysis products to extract valuable insights from various blockchain platforms.
- Strategy and Vision: Collaborate with executive leadership to define and implement the blockchain development strategy, aligning with Inference Labs' overall goals.
- Incentive Analysis: Analyze system incentives to identify potential vulnerabilities, determine beneficiaries, and define successful configurations.
- Node Development: Develop, interact with, and maintain secure networks on Ethereum infrastructure by working with smart contracts and distributed nodes, ensuring stability and reliability.
- Research and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest blockchain and AI technologies and trends, identifying areas for innovative research and development to enhance our solutions.
- Community Engagement: Attend conferences and explore opportunities within the on-chain ecosystem to foster community relationships and discover new possibilities.
- Code Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews and implement best practices to ensure high-quality, secure, and maintainable code for all blockchain solutions.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for blockchain, smart contracts, and related processes to ensure clarity and continuity.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong interest in game theory, data analysis, and cryptocurrency.
- Enjoys solving fun economic and probability problems.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences including internal teams, public presentations, blog posts, and academic papers.
- Passion for blockchain technology, decentralized computing, and machine learning, with an alignment to our core principles.
- Bonus points for experience in Data Sciences and Machine Learning (ML).
Estimated Salary Range: $95,000 - $160,000 annually, negotiable based on skills and experience. Please note that actual compensation can be influenced by factors such as educational background, professional training, unique credentials, skill set, location, and experience. This figure represents only the base salary, excluding the full spectrum of benefits offered by Inference Labs.
