About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced industrial environment at Stelco's Hamilton Works facility in Ontario, Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain low and high-pressure steam systems
  • Ensure smooth operation of environmental control equipment
  • Support various production units with equipment operation, including turbines, pumps, compressors, turbo alternators, cooling towers, water treatment systems, gas systems, and HVAC equipment
  • Perform chemical analysis on process water and adjust systems accordingly
  • Operate gas testing equipment and participate in confined space entry permits
  • Provide isolation, lockouts, clearances, and safe work permits on utilities systems and process equipment
  • Assist in developing energy control procedures and safe work practices
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams for equipment repair and planning
Requirements
  • TSSA 3rd Class Operating Engineer Certificate
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial setting
