About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to finance team members.
  • Develop and implement effective financial policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and reports.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A recognized accounting designation or post-secondary degree in business/finance.
  • Minimum five years' experience in managing unionized staff in a complex computerized accounting department.
  • Strong understanding of Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS).
  • A strong background in computer information systems and applications.
