About the Role

At Moment Factory, we're seeking a skilled Sound System Designer to join our multidisciplinary Audio Design team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing sound systems for various projects, working closely with our Music Director and technical directors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop sound strategies for projects, collaborating with composers and technical directors.
  • Analyze and specify audio distribution system requirements.
  • Produce equipment lists, wiring diagrams, and location plans.
  • Optimize sound concepts to align with project technical and budgetary realities.
  • Review and validate sound design throughout the project.
  • Participate in site visits and represent musical creation needs.
  • Organize sound tests and produce final documentation.
  • Occasionally participate in project installations and integrations.

Requirements
  • 7-10 years of experience in technical sound design for multimedia environments and/or the event industry.
  • Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.
  • Skills in technical drawing (AutoCAD or similar).
  • Advanced knowledge of Dante technology.
  • Familiarity with acoustic prediction/distribution systems (MAPP, Ease).
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more DAWs (Ableton, etc.).
  • Familiarity with analysis systems (Smart, SIM).
  • Knowledge of networks.
  • Ability to read construction plans (architecture, electrical, mechanical).
  • Familiarity with processes for permanent installations (construction).
  • Knowledge of video servers (an asset).
