Job Summary

Magna Exteriors is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain electrical systems, including power supply wiring and conduit
  • Diagnose and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and motors
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Replace faulty electrical components, such as relays and switches
  • Plan and install wiring and electrical apparatus in buildings
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment

Requirements

  • Industrial Trade certification as Industrial Electrician and/or PLC certification
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
  • PLC and programming experience
  • Ability to create, manipulate, and follow robot programs for ABB, Fanuc, and Panasonic
  • Mig, Stick, and Tig welding
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic fundamentals and principles
  • Certification in one or more robot programming courses (ABB, Fanuc, Panasonic)
  • Experience with Labview is an asset
  • Experience with troubleshooting robots
  • Overhead crane license
  • Forklift license
  • Tier 1 automotive manufacturing experience
