We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Services Specialist to join our team at the Abbotsford School District. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for our students.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to design and implement inclusive education programs
- Provide support and guidance to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with students, parents, and community members
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in inclusive education and trauma-informed practice
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
- Major or minor in Inclusive Education (Special Education) or related field
- Practicum and/or work experience in Inclusive Education at the Elementary level
- Case management experience required
- Training and experience with Level B Assessments (e.g. KBIT2/KTEA III)
- Non-violent crisis intervention certification
- Eligible for B.C. Certification
We offer a competitive salary range of $55,654.20 to $97,612.20, depending on experience and qualifications. Our team is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
