About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team at Ecole Clearbrook Elementary. As a Learning Support Services Specialist, you will play a vital role in creating a culturally diverse and inclusive school community that values and promotes social emotional learning, trauma-informed practice, and differentiated instruction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement an environment and programming conducive to engaging children and their families
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop strong relationships with students and their families
  • Provide case management experience and training in Level B Assessments
  • Successfully complete and maintain non-violent crisis intervention certification
  • Eligible for B.C. Certification and satisfactory teacher evaluation
Requirements
  • Major/minor or diploma in Inclusive Education (aka Special Education)
  • Practicum and/or work experience in Inclusive Education at the Elementary level
  • Case management experience required
  • Training and experience with Level B Assessments (ie. KBIT2/KTEA III)
  • Eligible for B.C. Certification

We offer a competitive salary range of $37,102.80 to $65,074.80, with placement on the July 1, 2024 Teacher Salary Grid based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
