About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team at Ecole Clearbrook Elementary as a Learning Support Services Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a culturally diverse and inclusive school community, where you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement an environment and programming conducive to engaging children and their families
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to promote social emotional learning, trauma informed practice, and differentiated instruction
  • Develop strong relationships with students and their families to ensure a sense of place and belonging
  • Stay up-to-date with technology used to support students and implement effective strategies for engagement
Requirements
  • Major/minor or diploma in Inclusive Education (aka Special Education)
  • Practicum and/or work experience in Inclusive Education at the Elementary level
  • Case management experience required
  • Training and experience with Level B Assessments (ie. KBIT2/KTEA III)
  • Successfully complete and maintain non-violent crisis intervention certification
  • Eligible for B.C. Certification
  • Satisfactory teacher evaluation and/or final practicum reports
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $37,102.80 to $65,074.80, with placement on the July 1, 2024 Teacher Salary Grid based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
