Grocery Department Associate

About the Role:
The Grocery Department Associate plays a vital role in supporting the provision of retail services to Canadian Armed Forces members and their families. This position involves assisting with merchandising and stocking sections of the grocery store, ensuring shelf label retail prices are correct. The successful candidate will also be responsible for receiving stock, verifying shipments for damages or shortages, and recording temperature readings on refrigeration equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with merchandising and stocking sections of the grocery store
- Verify shipments for damages or shortages
- Record temperature readings on refrigeration equipment
- Assist with bagging customers' groceries and carrying out of merchandise
- Return shopping carts to the store interior and remove snow and ice from walkways and loading areas
Requirements:
- Acceptable combination of education, training, and experience
- Food Handling Certification, as required
- Experience in a grocery store or similar environment
- Experience in food handling
Language Requirements:
French Essential
Reading: Basic
Writing: None
Oral: Functional
