Medical Device Reprocessing Technician

Halton Healthcare Services is seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient reprocessing of medical devices.
Job Summary:The Medical Device Reprocessing Technician is responsible for the reprocessing of medical devices, including cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing equipment. You will work closely with our surgical team to ensure that all medical devices are properly reprocessed and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities:- Reprocess medical devices, including cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing equipment
- Work closely with the surgical team to ensure that all medical devices are properly reprocessed and ready for use
- Maintain accurate records of reprocessing activities
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient care
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination
- Minimum grade 12 education required
- Current certificate from a recognized college level Medical Device Reprocessing Course or CSA Medical Device Reprocessing Certification required
- One year experience in the OR, doing the OR support role required
- Previous Central Sterilization and Reprocessing experience required
- Excellent communication skills - both oral and written
- Aptitude for working with delicate and heavy equipment, ability to meet the physical demands of the position
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record required
