Medical Device Reprocessing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join our team at Halton Healthcare. As a key member of our Medical Device Reprocessing Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective reprocessing of medical devices.
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards set by organizations such as CSA, PIDAC, MDRAO, and Health Canada.
- Effective communication with clients to ensure their reprocessing needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Operating and maintaining reprocessing equipment, including washer disinfectors, steam sterilizers, and low-temperature sterilizers.
- Providing excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
- Working collaboratively with the team to foster a culture of patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum grade 12 education and a current certificate from a recognized college Medical Device Reprocessing Course.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered, including MDRAO (CSAO) or CSA Certification with a minimum of one year of relevant experience in Medical Device Reprocessing.
- Demonstrated experience using reprocessing equipment and excellent communication skills.
- Aptitude for working with delicate and heavy equipment and ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record and ability to work independently when necessary.
