Medical Device Reprocessing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join our team at Halton Healthcare. As a key member of our Medical Device Reprocessing Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective reprocessing of medical devices.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards set by organizations such as CSA, PIDAC, MDRAO, and Health Canada.
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to meet reprocessing needs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Operate and maintain reprocessing equipment, including washer disinfectors, steam sterilizers, and low-temperature sterilizers.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
- Grade 12 education or equivalent required.
- Current certificate from a recognized college Medical Device Reprocessing Course or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience using reprocessing equipment and excellent communication skills.
- Aptitude for working with delicate and heavy equipment, as well as ability to meet physical demands of the position.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record required.
