The AVP Finance Operations is a key role within Aviva, responsible for implementing finance change initiatives and driving operational excellence. This position requires a strong leader with expertise in finance, accounting, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement finance change initiatives to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to transform finance operations and achieve outstanding results.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders to stay abreast of financial aspects of change, cost benefits, and evaluation.
  • Assess feasibility of finance change objectives, delivery timeline, and benefits applicable to accounting, expense management, finance systems efficiency, and data integrity.
  • Mentor and coach finance managers to achieve short- and long-term goals.
  • Uphold Aviva's finance visions in terms of value creation, customer service focus, and process simplification.
  • Effectively own the finance change stream to achieve company goals while developing and retaining top talents.

Requirements

  • Designated accounting professionals with CA, CGA, CMA qualified or equivalent.
  • Strong accountability & ownership, professional ethics, and integrity.
  • Strong sense of customer focus, quality results-oriented, managing stakeholder's expectation, and timely communication.
  • Broad business knowledge in Finance accounting / reporting / planning, IT/ Systems, Underwriting, Claims Operations, Reserving, IFRS17.
  • Promote partnership, flexibility, and adaptability, and collaborative efforts with other groups.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills and staff management.
  • The ideal candidate will have 10 plus years in a progressive leadership role, specifically within Finance and strong exposure to financial systems implementation.
  • Preferably experience General Insurance or Life Insurance.
  • Has initiated, lead, and successfully completed major change programs.
