Job Summary:
The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a highly skilled Social Worker 2 to join our team. As a member of our interprofessional team, you will provide client-centered psychiatric care and relevant social work services to clients with serious mental illness and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized, focused, goal-oriented support to clients to facilitate stabilization of symptoms in a less restrictive environment.
- Work with the interprofessional team to develop, implement, and evaluate the interprofessional plan of client care for clients.
- Offer individual and group counseling support to clients to help them meet their recovery goals.
- Liaise with other services in the Complex Care and Recovery Program and the community to coordinate care and refer clients to appropriate services and resources.
- Conduct family assessments, offer family education, and provide counseling and support to families.
Requirements:
- Masters of Social Work degree and certification with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
- Three years' experience working in a mental health setting.
- Strong knowledge of and ability to apply principles of crisis intervention.
- Experience in a mental health/addiction setting.
- Knowledge of recovery, concurrent disorders, and social work interventions.
