Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Vancouver Coastal Health. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving
  • Help patients with mobility and transfer
  • Perform light housekeeping duties
  • Assist with medication reminders and administration
  • Participate in patient care conferences and contribute to the development of patient care plans
Requirements
  • Completion of a recognized healthcare aide program or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
