Risk Surveillance Analyst

At SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA, we're seeking an experienced Risk Surveillance Analyst to join our US CMS Trade Surveillance team in Montreal. As a key member of our global compliance program, you'll play a vital role in monitoring security transactions and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will participate in the daily review of trade surveillance alerts, escalating issues to relevant stakeholders for investigation and resolution. You'll also contribute to the development, testing, and implementation of new surveillance scenarios and minimum standards, as well as participate in quality assurance and reasonability testing of surveillance controls.
You'll work closely with regional and global teams to enhance the Trade Surveillance program, preparing management metrics and reports, participating in compliance initiatives and investigations, and assisting with the review and analysis of new industry rules and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and escalate trade surveillance alerts
- Develop and implement new surveillance scenarios
- Contribute to quality assurance and reasonability testing
- Prepare management metrics and reports
- Participate in compliance initiatives and investigations
To succeed in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 1-3 years of experience in trade surveillance, general compliance, and/or financial services. Strong knowledge of applicable regulations is essential, as is proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
