Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Associate to join our team at Shangri-La Toronto. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring that our guests have a memorable and enjoyable stay with us.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Provide personalized assistance to guests, responding to their needs and requests in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Local Knowledge: Maintain expertise on local venues, attractions, restaurants, and tourism events, and provide recommendations to guests.
  • Arrangements and Bookings: Assist guests with personal events, arrangements, bookings, tickets, and reservations, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Demonstrate teamwork, safe work practices, open communication, accuracy in transactions, respect, sincerity, helpfulness, courtesy, and humility in all interactions with colleagues and guests.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Be available to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and be flexible in schedule and availability.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years previous work experience in a similar capacity in an international world-class hotel.
  • Language Proficiency: 100% English language proficiency, with other languages useful.
  • Technology Proficiency: Fully competent in all systems used within the department, including Windows-based programs and PDA technology.
  • Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in Canada.
