We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Policy Analyst to join our team at the Government of Nova Scotia. As a key member of our policy team, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and evaluating policies that support the department's mandate and goals.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on complex policy issues, including the preparation of reports, presentations, and briefing notes.
- Develop and implement policy initiatives that are strategically aligned with government priorities, legislation, and regulations.
- Engage with stakeholders, including government officials, community groups, and industry representatives, to ensure sound policy development and alignment with departmental priorities.
- Provide policy advice and support to senior leadership, including the Minister, Deputy Minister, and Premier.
- Collaborate with management and staff to ensure comprehensive and timely responses to requests for input into departmental and government-wide initiatives.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in policy research and analysis, policy development, and project management. You should have excellent facilitation and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve common goals.
