As a Civil Engineering Technologist, you will play a key role in our Geotechnical and Materials Engineering team, working on transportation infrastructure, commercial, and industrial projects in both field and laboratory environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing field and laboratory testing of soil, aggregates, and asphalt concrete, including sieve analysis and density testing.
  • Preparing Proctors and Marshall molds, asphalt cement content, sand equivalents, Atterberg limits, and moisture content.
  • Assisting in providing quality control and assurance on laboratory and field testing projects.
  • Preparing field and testing reports.
  • Other duties required to conduct our business and build on the job knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate in civil engineering technology program(s).
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and current drivers abstract.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documentation of sampling and testing information.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and listening skills.
  • Good time management skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, and contribute to the practice as a team player.
  • Willingness to travel and work in a field setting.
  • CSA-approved Steel Toed Safety Boots required.
  • Physical capability to perform manual labor duties.
