Interior Health Authority seeks a dedicated Medical Office Coordinator to join their team in Kelowna, B.C.

Job Summary:

This part-time Relief position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced health centre environment and to contribute to the delivery of quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Register patients and manage appointments, including scheduling and confirming sessions
  • Perform various administrative and clerical duties, such as answering telephones, responding to correspondence, and maintaining accurate records
  • Operate computer software, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and clinical information systems
  • Ensure the efficient running of medical/surgical supplies and equipment
  • Provide support to patients and staff, including escorting patients to examination/treatment rooms and maintaining a clean and safe environment
Requirements:
  • Graduation from a Medical Office Assistant course from an accredited Community College, plus two years recent related experience in a healthcare setting
  • Valid BC Driver's License
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in computer software and ability to learn new systems
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with tact and diplomacy
