Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at First Steps Learning & Child Care Centre Inc. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that support the well-being of children.
  • Lead activities that foster learning and development, such as storytelling, teaching songs, and taking children on outings.
  • Order supplies and equipment to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Assist in maintaining records and submitting written observations on children.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours.
Requirements
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and community service providers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
