Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Legal Assistant to join our team at Linds & Associates Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our corporate law practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Correspondence and Documentation: Draft and prepare all correspondence and letters to clients, accountants, and other stakeholders with respect to corporate matters.
  • Minute Book Maintenance: Complete corporate minute books and enter information into our corporate database.
  • Research and Reporting: Order and review preliminary and full NUANS reports, Certificates of Status, Profile reports, and other corporate documentation.
  • Transactional Documentation: Prepare transactional documentation for corporate financing, including authorizing resolutions, general security agreements, and Statutory Declarations.
  • Agreements and Resolutions: Draft agreements, resolutions, and other corporate/commercial documents, and forward them to our lawyers for review and approval.
  • File Management: Complete transaction files, including ordering corporate searches, due diligence, supplies, and arranging for delivery/exchange of documents.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support with respect to accounting and billing, including review of pre-bills, making corrections, and mailing out final bills.
Requirements
  • Education: A post-secondary diploma in a related Legal Administration and/or Law Clerk program or equivalent years of experience.
  • Experience: Experience in a similar position in a corporate law practice.
  • Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Fastco, Cyberbahn, and Legal Accounting software; excellent organization and time-management skills; ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently on multiple files; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
