Accounts Receivable and Grants Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable and Grants Lead to join our Finance team at Explore Edmonton Corporation. This role will be responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable function and leading Grant reporting, ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer receipts, invoicing, and grant funding.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring accounts to identify overdue payments and taking prompt action to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Preparing and sending invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Reconciling accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and correctly posted.
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate records of all customer interactions and transactions.
  • Preparing regular reports on customer account balances and grant funding.
  • Resolving any issues or discrepancies related to customer accounts and grant funding.
  • Coordinating with internal staff to obtain approvals for invoices and grant submissions.
  • Managing and maintaining accounts receivable email inbox and grant documentation.
  • Preparing the required reports and documentation for grant submission and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Updating accounts receivable policies and grant procedures to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.

The successful candidate will have:

  • An Accounting Degree or Diploma with a strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
  • 3-5 years experience in accounts receivable and grant funding, with a proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • 1-2 years managerial experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees, external agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel, with experience with NetSuite, Square, ZOHO, and Momentus being an asset.
