Job Summary:
Brandt is seeking a skilled and experienced Leadhand to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our Service Department, you will be responsible for coordinating and directing the workload of our technicians to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assignment of jobs and work areas to Service Department employees based on their skill and knowledge.
- Participate in the appraisal of repair orders and review them for accuracy and completeness.
- Direct and assist technicians and apprentices in the diagnosis of machine problems.
- Inspect and repair special tools, and recommend new tooling as required.
- Advise the Shop Foreman or Service Manager of customer complaints.
- Assist in coordinating and conducting quarterly safety meetings.
- May fill the Shop Foreman's role in their absence.
- May arrange for and participate in the reconditioning of used equipment and setup of new equipment.
- May approve the release of equipment for delivery to customers.
- May assist in providing performance feedback for service technicians and staff to the Service Manager.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience as a heavy duty service technician.
- Journeyman certificate required.
- Class 1 driver's license considered an asset.
- Forklift license preferred.
- Ability to work multiple shift patterns.
- Ability to lead others.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present to groups.
- Ability to use standard desktop applications.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
