Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Finning. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar and other mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar and other mechanical equipment
- Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
- Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
- Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
- Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required
Requirements:
- Journeyperson Electrical Certification
- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
- Valid driver's license with a successful recent driver abstract
- Previous Caterpillar experience is an asset
- Willingness to participate and complete additional training
- Self-motivated, computer literate, and safety orientated with the ability to work under minimal supervision
- Team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Work Environment:
- Travel is required throughout Alberta and NWT
- Preference for candidate locations are Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer and Grande Prairie
- This position will work a 7x7 continuous shift
- Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position
