About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial HVAC service and maintenance. They will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of various HVAC equipment, including installation, repair, and inspection. The successful candidate will also work directly with customers to provide exceptional service and ensure their complete satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and service chillers, heat pumps, steam boilers, air handling units, fans, humidifiers, pumps, VAV boxes, motors, refrigerators, and freezers
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, replace, calibrate, and program HVAC control systems
  • Replace filters and belts as needed
  • Update documentation related to HVAC services, including drawings, specifications, and O&M manuals
  • Install new services in renovation or building changes, as determined by the Manager
  • Recommend the ordering of HVAC supplies
  • Respond to environment comfort complaints from customers
  • Perform log readings and maintain accurate records
  • Installation of wall and ceiling-mounted accessories
  • Complete preventive and demand maintenance tasks, entering maintenance records on work orders

Requirements:

  • A recognized HVAC and/or refrigeration certificate
  • Journeyperson status in the trade
  • A valid G1 gas license
  • Working knowledge of building services, including air conditioning, refrigeration, and electrical and mechanical equipment controls and systems
  • Familiarity with building automation system HVAC control strategies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to exceed customer expectations
  • Ability to work in a quality environment and adhere to company standards
  • Physical demands include bending and lifting up to 30 kg, working at heights, and using ladders or scaffolding
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), JD Edwards or Oracle-based ERP systems, and DSI platform
