At Maple Leaf Foods, we are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Millwright to join our team. As an Industrial Millwright, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing equipment used in our facility for daily production.
The successful candidate will ensure safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all employees. In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematic, and drawings to determine work procedures and/or order necessary parts.
- Troubleshooting repairs, installing processing and packaging equipment with a working knowledge of electrical, utilities, and facilities systems to allow efficient repair/replacement results.
- Conducting planned preventive & predictive maintenance and keeping maintenance records.
- Actively participating in preventive maintenance programs on building equipment, processing equipment daily, efficient production equipment set up, inspection, and shutdown of all related equipment when required, including process changeovers.
- Installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment and power transmission, pump, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A licensed Millwright (433A).
- Knowledge of conveyors, high-speed slicers, pumps/compressors, electrical/electronic controls.
- Knowledge of pipe fitting practices and steam piping.
- A working knowledge of vacuum systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Strong SAP skill sets.
- Ability to work independently, work with contractors, and other reliability personnel.
