Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant, Development to join our team at TalentSphere Staffing Solutions. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for coordinating development and construction treasury and payables processes, including reviewing development invoices, preparing capital draws, and monitoring loan accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate development and construction treasury and payables processes, including reviewing development invoices, preparing capital draws, and monitoring loan accounts.
  • Account and report on development cost spend to relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on development management fee revenue.
  • Assist with review of monthly financial reports from property and development managers.
  • Perform month-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, etc.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for external stakeholders.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual audited financial statements, including note disclosures, and assist in quarterly review and annual audit process.
  • Liaise with the development team, property managers, developers, equity partners, lenders, and other external parties.
  • Assist with and/or lead special and ad hoc projects as necessary.
Requirements
  • University degree in Finance or accounting.
  • Must be a CPA or on track to become a CPA.
  • A self-starter who is able to work independently in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and adheres to high standards for work quality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with good work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
