Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at ADVANCE TAX AND ACCOUNTING SERVICES INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements, providing a clear picture of the company's financial health.
  • Post journal entries, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports, providing valuable insights for business decision-making.
  • Prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Reconcile accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or errors.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Permanent employment with 80 hours bi-weekly.
  • Fluency in English.
