Senior Development Officer

Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Development Officer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in generating revenue to support our mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, sponsors, and other supporters to secure commitments and achieve fundraising goals.
  • Develop and implement a robust and sustainable fundraising plan, including a rolling 3-year pipeline plan, to meet or exceed annual and campaign targets.
  • Work collaboratively with the Development Writer to create professional and meaningful supporter communications, including proposals and letters.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including volunteers and partners, to advance our fundraising goals.
  • Plan, prepare, and brief Banff Centre leadership and key volunteers for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship meetings and calls.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, CFRE, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong technical skills, including MS Office Suite and fundraising databases (Raisers Edge preferred).
  • Experience working in the arts is an asset.
  • Politically and financially savvy, with a proven ability to build, lead, and execute fundraising plans and strategies to deliver on set goals.
  • Experienced at multitasking with strong project management skills and a proven ability to manage and balance large workloads, projects, and portfolios.
