Painter/Prepper Specialist

StandardAero is seeking a skilled Painter/Prepper Specialist to join our team at the Langley Operations Department, Helicopter Repair Center.
This is an exciting opportunity to learn and apply your skills in refinishing helicopter paint surfaces with unique paint schemes and graphics.
- Prepare aircraft parts for refinishing, including sanding, plastic media blasting, cleaning, and masking.
- Refinish surfaces by applying primer, paint, stencils, and decals.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Maintain equipment, including paint booth, spray guns, air hoses.
- Document all work accomplished in a clear and concise manner.
- Perform work while adhering to applicable procedures and standards.
- May perform other duties as required by the department.
- Apply safe work practices and use proper PPE.
- Adhere to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or technical school equivalent.
- Two years of experience as an automotive/aircraft painter preferred.
- Knowledge of proper paint preparation.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, walk, bend, stretch, and climb ladders.
- Must have the ability to manipulate equipment of all sizes, tools, computer keyboards, and telephones.
- Must be able to see to disassemble and visually inspect.
- Must have excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
