We are seeking a skilled Painter/Prepper to join our team at the Langley Operations Department, Helicopter Repair Center. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the highest quality standards in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare aircraft parts for refinishing, including sanding, plastic media blasting, cleaning, and masking.
- Refinish surfaces by applying primer, paint, stencils, and decals.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Ensure equipment, including paint booth, spray guns, and air hoses, are properly maintained.
- Document all work accomplished in a clear and concise manner.
- Perform work while adhering to applicable procedures and standards.
- May perform other duties as required by the department.
- High school diploma or technical school equivalent.
- Two years of experience as an automotive or aircraft painter preferred.
- Knowledge of proper paint preparation.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, walk, bend, stretch, and climb ladders.
- Must have the ability to manipulate equipment of all sizes, tools, computer keyboards, and telephones.
- Must be able to see to disassemble and visually inspect.
- Must have excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
