Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Refinisher to join our team at StandardAero. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for refinishing helicopter paint surfaces with unique paint schemes and graphics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare aircraft parts for refinishing, including sanding, plastic media blasting, cleaning, and masking.
- Refinish surfaces by applying primer, paint, stencils, and decals.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Maintain equipment, including paint booth, spray guns, air hoses.
- Document all work accomplished in a clear, concise, and accurate manner.
- Perform work while adhering to applicable procedures and standards.
- May perform other duties as required by the department.
- Apply safe work practices and use of proper PPE.
- Adhere to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal.
Requirements:
- High school diploma/Technical school or equivalent.
- Two years of experience as an automotive/aircraft painter preferred.
- Knowledge of proper paint preparation.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, walk, bend, stretch, and climb ladders.
- Must have the ability to manipulate equipment of all sizes, tools, computer keyboards, and telephones.
- Must be able to see to disassemble and visually inspect.
- Must have excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
