Office Administrative Assistant
Work SettingTechise Canada Limited is seeking an experienced Office Administrative Assistant to join our team in a retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and implementing policies and procedures, recording and preparing minutes of meetings, seminars and conferences, and determining and establishing office procedures and routines.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and implement policies and procedures
- Record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars and conferences
- Determine and establish office procedures and routines
- Plan, develop and implement recruitment strategies
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Manage contracts
- Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
- Answer electronic enquiries
- Compile data, statistics and other information
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory
- Liaise with management, union officials and HR consultants
- Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
- Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas
- Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
- Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents
- Perform data entry
- Provide customer service
The successful candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role and a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment is fast-paced, and the successful candidate will be expected to work under pressure with tight deadlines. The position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
