Office Administrative Assistant

Work Setting

Techise Canada Limited is seeking an experienced Office Administrative Assistant to join our team in a retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and implementing policies and procedures, recording and preparing minutes of meetings, seminars and conferences, and determining and establishing office procedures and routines.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Establish and implement policies and procedures
  2. Record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars and conferences
  3. Determine and establish office procedures and routines
  4. Plan, develop and implement recruitment strategies
  5. Schedule and confirm appointments
  6. Manage contracts
  7. Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
  8. Answer electronic enquiries
  9. Compile data, statistics and other information
  10. Order office supplies and maintain inventory
  11. Liaise with management, union officials and HR consultants
  12. Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
  13. Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas
  14. Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
  15. Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents
  16. Perform data entry
  17. Provide customer service
Requirements

The successful candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role and a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced, and the successful candidate will be expected to work under pressure with tight deadlines. The position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
