Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Raise. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising production team members and supporting them in achieving business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Supervision: Supervise production team members and support them in achieving business objectives.
  • Daily and Weekly Task Management: Manage daily and weekly tasks and scheduling of team members.
  • Efficiency and Cost Management: Guide workforce to maintain efficiency and all cost objectives.
  • Evaluation and Adjustment: Evaluate and adjust work plans to accomplish objectives.
  • Safety Culture Development: Develop a proactive safety culture by engaging team members and peers in our safety processes.
  • Pre-Task Planning: Coordinate the development of pre-task plans prior to jobs to ensure all jobs are completed safely.
  • Employee Evaluations: Complete annual Employee Performance Evaluations.
  • Labor Agreements: Comply with the terms of local and national labor agreements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Maintain frequent contact and collaboration with others outside of the work group.
  • Shift Change Meetings: Create follow-up details and communicate details of Safety/Quality/Production related items during shift change meetings.
  • Uptime-Related Issues: Respond to uptime-related issues.
  • Overtime Records: Maintain overtime equalization records.
  • Shift Change Meetings: Attend daily Shift Change meetings.
  • BPD Meetings: Attend Business Plan Deployment (BPD) meetings.
  • Time and Attendance Adjustments: Make daily adjustments in time and attendance.
  • Training and Feedback: Coach, train, and provide feedback to improve Team Member and Team Leader performance.
  • Safety Observation Tours: Conduct weekly Safety Observation Tours (SOTs).
  • Manpower Assignments: Coordinate manpower assignments.
  • TIS, Buffer Management, Bypass Management: Maintain Task Instruction Sheets (TIS), Buffer Management, Bypass Management, Sealer Management, Quality Review Board Activities.
  • Scrap Mitigation and Prevention: Track and record scrap in your area and focus on mitigation and prevention procedures.
  • GMS Processes: Learn, adopt, and lead GMS (Global Manufacturing System) processes to operate the business unit with continuous improvement.

  • Autonomy: Able to work autonomously with occasional guidance from leaders and peers.
  • High-Risk TIS's and Training: High Risk TIS's and 'Take 2 for Safety' Training.
  • Labor Relations Training: Labour Relations Training.
  • Built-In Quality Processes: Built-In Quality (BIQ) Processes – Level III/IV.
  • Total Productive Maintenance: Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
  • Waste Elimination: COMMWIP – Waste Elimination.
  • Managing Non-Scheduled Overtime: Managing Non-Scheduled Overtime.
  • Standardized Work: Standardized Work (JES/SOS/TIS).

  • Direct Supervisory Experience: One year of direct supervisory experience.
  • Problem-Solving and Time Management: Ability to coordinate, manage, address performance concerns, and lead people in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic Computer Proficiency: Basic computer proficiency (i.e., Microsoft Word, typing, email etc.).
Candidate Requirements:
  • Degrees or Certifications: Degrees or certifications required.
  • Years of Experience: Years of experience required.
  • Technologies and Depth of Technologies: Technologies/depth of technologies required.
  • Preferred Schools and Companies: Any preferred schools/companies.
  • Direct Supervisory Experience: One year of direct supervisory experience.
  • Leadership and Problem-Solving: Ability to coordinate, manage, address performance concerns, and lead people in a fast-paced environment.
  • Conflict Resolution and Decision-Making: Ability to solve complex problems and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interpersonal Skills and Conflict Resolution: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage conflict and make decisions in ambiguous fast-paced environments.
  • Basic Computer Proficiency: Basic computer proficiency (i.e., Microsoft Word, typing, email etc.).
  • Flexibility and Availability: Must be willing to work weekends and rotating shifts.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
