About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Materials Handler Team Member to join our dynamic team at IMT Precision's facility in Ingersoll, ON. This exciting opportunity will allow you to leverage your expertise in operating lift trucks and managing inventory control processes to contribute to the smooth operation of our production facility.

As a Materials Handler Team Member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient handling, transportation, and storage of materials within the facility. Your primary responsibilities will include safely driving and operating various types of lift trucks to transport goods and materials, loading and unloading trucks, containers, or storage areas while maintaining proper placement and storage of goods, and assisting with inventory control by scanning barcodes, tracking material movement, and moving goods to designated storage areas.

In this position, you will also be responsible for following all safety guidelines, protocols, and regulations, conducting routine checks on equipment to ensure safe operation, reporting maintenance issues, stacking products securely to maximize storage space, and collaborating with warehouse, shipping, supervisors, and other departments to streamline material handling processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma; 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with proficiency in operating lift trucks;
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft programs;
  • Experience with inventory control processes and barcode scanning;
  • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and work effectively in noisy, dusty, fast-paced manufacturing environments;
  • Commitment to maintaining safety and efficiency standards, knowledge of equipment maintenance and safety protocols;
  • Flexibility in shift work, ability to adapt to rotating schedules;
  • Ability to undergo a Police Information Check and Criminal Record Review Act Check.
