Job Title: Automotive Manufacturing and Engineering Maintenance Team Leader
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
Overview: CIeNET International is a renowned software services and solutions research company with a strong presence in North America, Asia, and Europe. Our Canadian office is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our skilled trades team at our Ingersoll, Ontario facility.
About the Role:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to supervise a group of Maintenance Skilled Trades - Electricians, Millwrights, Plumbers.
- The main function of a maintenance supervisor is to establish, implement, and maintain long-range plans for improvement of maintenance activities and provide technical assistance to the manufacturing departments supported.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise skilled trades team members and support them in achieving business objectives.
- Manage daily and weekly tasks and scheduling of team members.
- Guide workforce to maintain efficiency and all cost objectives.
- Recommend solutions to mechanical and electrical problems.
- Evaluate and adjust work plans to accomplish objectives.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and breakdowns and develop permanent corrective actions.
- Develop a proactive safety culture by engaging team members and peers in our safety processes.
- Coordinate the development of pre-task plans prior to jobs to ensure all jobs are completed safely.
- Schedule preventative maintenance (PM) tasks through use of Maximo and continuously improve PM program.
- Ensure production equipment is capable of meeting schedule and quality requirements.
- Complete annual Employee Performance Evaluations.
- Comply with the terms of local and national labor agreements.
- Maintain frequent contact and collaboration with others outside of the work group.
- Create follow up workorders and communicate details of maintenance related items during shift change meetings.
- Avoid adopting processes that compromise productivity or quality.
Requirements:
- Over 3 years supervisor experience on facilities maintenance in a larger manufacturing field.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts.
- Experience in machine, assembly and/or facility areas.
- Knowledge of and ability to insure a safe industrial work environment.
- Knowledge of basic math including trigonometry.
- Knowledge of clerical work, data gathering, machine studies.
- Experience in supervision of multi-trade workforce.
- Strong knowledge of tooling, manufacturing, assembly processes.
- Leadership involves learning skills, adaptability, initiative, alignment with motivational objectives, effective decision-making, results-driven mindset, collaboration, empowerment, organizational skills, and planning competencies.
- High level of analytical ability where problems are complex.
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate, and elicit output.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge with Outlook or other email communication tools.
- Ability to work well with others, exhibiting teamwork skills.
- Ability to partner with senior management to analyze and solve issues.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work autonomously with occasional guidance from leaders and peers.
- Must be willing to work any assigned shift, work daily, weekend, and holiday overtime as required.
