About the Role

CASA Mental Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team of clinical professionals. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing timely mental health assessments and treatment to children, youth, and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive bio-psycho-social mental health assessments to identify the needs of children, youth, and their families.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each client.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.
  • Facilitate psycho-educational and therapeutic groups for children and families to promote healthy relationships and coping skills.
  • Collaborate with inter-professional teams to ensure seamless service delivery and achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients and their families to ensure their needs are met and their rights are respected.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records in accordance with agency policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in social work, occupational therapy, child and youth counseling, addictions counseling, or psychology.
  • Experience working in a clinical practice setting and in child and family mental health and/or youth addictions.
  • Membership in good standing with a professional association/college (candidates eligible for membership will also be considered).
  • Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification (training provided by CASA).
