Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Site Reliability Engineer to become a vital part of our Digital Services Team. This role offers the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technologies and will initially focus on ensuring the operational readiness and upkeep of existing applications, eventually evolving into a role centered on development and maintenance.

  • Position: Site Reliability Engineer
  • Experience Required: 8+ Years
  • Location: Hybrid, India

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, construct, and sustain a highly available, scalable, and efficient infrastructure for our applications.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies through tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Automate deployment processes and configuration management across AWS, on-premise setups, and container orchestration systems (Kubernetes, EKS, Openshift).
  • Integrate Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline infrastructure provisioning and configuration adjustments.
  • Establish and uphold monitoring solutions (e.g., Datadog or Prometheus) to proactively detect and resolve infrastructure challenges.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure that infrastructure aligns with application specifications and industry best practices.
  • Engage in incident response activities for both infrastructure and application-related issues.
  • Continuously enhance infrastructure performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements and trends in cloud computing, containerization, and monitoring technologies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or in a similar capacity.
  • Strong grasp of cloud computing principles (AWS preferred).
  • Experience with on-premise deployments is advantageous.
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform and Ansible.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, EKS, and Openshift.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in configuration management tools.
  • Experience with monitoring solutions like Datadog or Prometheus.
  • Strong scripting abilities (Bash, Python preferred).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
