About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Jot Flooring & Renovations Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in our residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and steel
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other team members
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial properties
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the trade
  • Commercial, industrial, and residential work experience
  • Maintenance and repair expertise
  • Excellent physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
