Job Summary

In this role, you will work closely with the Enterprise Data & Analytics team to build an Elsevier-wide data-engaged culture. You will develop solutions for managing master and reference data, provide capabilities to manage and govern data assets, and deliver valuable business insights.

About the Role

As a Business Resilience Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying and analyzing business requirements related to the development of the EDC. You will work with stakeholders and the EDC Development team to translate requirements into user stories, testing scenarios, success criteria, and user documentation.

Your Key Responsibilities

Analyze and document current and future requirements related to the EDC.
Translate requirements into user stories, testing scenarios, success criteria, and user documentation.
Perform analysis to define catalog systems integration requirements, including mapping of data flows and dependencies.
Gather requirements for new catalog features, services, and processes to optimize Collibra user experience and self-service capabilities.
Research requirements for continuous catalog content growth for trusted data, including data products, BI reports, glossaries, lineage, and more.
Define catalog business rules and validations to ensure catalog data meets quality and compliance standards.
Identify ways to improve user adoption and contribute user documentation and support as required.
Assist with EDC support for prompt resolution of EDC stakeholder queries.
Contribute to building and documenting best practices and ways of working in the EDC squad.
Represent EDC in all relevant channels across the organization.
Contribute to the EDC strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with Elsevier goals.

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst identifying and delivering improvements.
  • Deep knowledge of data cataloging, data management, analysis, and processing.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Experience coordinating business user acceptance testing and planning and facilitating workshops.


We offer a competitive salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
