About the Opportunity

As a GIS Data Analyst intern, you'll work closely with our planning team to assist with various tasks related to municipal land use planning functions. Your responsibilities will include:

- Collaborating with planning staff on development applications and data analysis projects

- Researching and analyzing data for the County Official Plan, Zoning Bylaw, and Secondary Plans

- Contributing to special projects assigned by the Director or designate

 

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program related to planning, environmental studies, or geography
  • Valid Ontario Class 'G2' driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Proficiency in computer software, including engineering-specific programs like CAD and GIS, as well as Microsoft Office (Excel)

 

Benefits

This internship offers a competitive hourly rate of $18.92, paid bi-weekly. You'll also have the opportunity to develop valuable skills and experience working with our community development team.
