Power Lines Project Coordinator

Spark Power, a trusted partner in power in North America, is seeking a highly skilled Power Lines Project Coordinator to join our Belleville Ontario team. The Power Lines Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing construction and maintenance projects for Spark Power, ensuring the efficient execution of work. The ideal candidate will have prior experience and expertise in project management of high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage power distribution equipment, including switchgear, circuit breakers, relays, transformers, high voltage and low voltage cables, and control systems. The Power Lines Project Coordinator will have significant contact with customers and will need to interpret their requests and discuss a plan with management to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage working relationships with clients, internal resources, and third parties such as vendors, subcontractors, and utilities.
  • Provide accurate project estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Identify and address project challenges proactively, finding solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Monitor project costs, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures whenever possible.

Requirements:

  • 5 years or more of construction experience as a Powerline Technician (Lineman), preferably as a Foreman or Lead Hand.
  • Computer proficient and able to learn new computer programs.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Project management experience is a definite asset but not necessary.
