Job Title: Assistant Cook

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Cook to join our team at Denny's Restaurants. As an Assistant Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality food is prepared and served to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet our high standards.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize kitchen operations.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation, to ensure consistency and quality.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
