Healthcare Recruiter Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Recruiter to join our team at Drake Medox Health Services. As a Healthcare Recruiter, you will be responsible for providing exceptional recruitment services to ensure we have the right staff to meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional, timely, and quality service to all candidates.
  • Prepare effective advertisements and screen candidates through proper assessment processes and best practices.
  • Proactively source candidates through diverse sources, including our internal database, e-boards, networking, social media, referrals, and direct recruitment tactics.
  • Conduct thorough interviews of candidates, emphasizing client requirements related to knowledge, skills, and attitude aligned with the healthcare industry.
  • Effectively reference check candidates to ensure suitability, including background, criminal, adult and child vulnerable sector checks, confirmation of certifications, and work history.
  • Administer CPR, NVCI/CPI, wound care courses, and safe patient handling course documentation, as well as any other orientations required.
  • Present fully qualified candidates to the Drake Medox Scheduling and management team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate files, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to strict registration, referencing, background checks, credentials, test results, and other requirements.
  • Respond to candidate inquiries in a truthful and non-discriminatory manner, ensuring equal opportunities for all candidates.

Requirements:

  • HCA Certificate from WRHA-approved colleges or equivalent, or an RN diploma in good standing.
  • Recent work experience in home care or facility settings.
  • Demonstrated understanding of RN home care and facility care, as well as HCA home care and facility care.
  • Exceptional ability to foster long-term candidate relationships, emphasizing total quality management.
  • Exceptional customer service and negotiation skills, supported by a high sense of urgency.
  • Results-oriented approach with a proven record of achieving service expectations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects with a solutions-focused track record.
  • Proficient computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and tracking software.
